Percy Davis is a product of Jackson State University’s Mass Communication program, And was first heard on the air at WJSU/FM, a station he also taught fellow students to operate. He made the leap to commercial radio as the Night Hawk WKXI 1300 AM holding down the over Slot while still a student at JSU. That was over 24 years ago, He was named the 2000 R&B DJ of the year and the 2003 Gospel announcer of the year for the Jackson market. He is currently the Program Director for WOAD PRAISE 105.9FM and GOSPEL 1300 WOAD AM, and can be heard across central Mississippi in the Morning drive slot on WOAD FM/AM. Mr. Davis’s philosophy is approach each day as a opportunity to learn something new and take advantage of it.
